vuzelha When the door of happiness closes, another opens, but often we look so hard at the closed door that we don't see the one that has opened for us.queer.gif (977 bytes)

U Go Thierry Mugler!

A Brilliant friend of mine once thought that "a Vuzelha is a small specie of nocturnal Antarctic weasel! - it just sounds right. And its mating call is: Vuuuuuuuuuuu-zil or something equally bizarre!" - he now calls me Vuzel.  Hmmmm.

Vuzelha (Vu-zilla) isn't quite 'bizarre' but equally elaborate:  it's the brain child of Eugéne and me.  Eugéne is another exceptionally talented individual who entered my life while I was very young, and played a big role in the development of my views and character.

Vuzelha is the expression of one's character, of the self - a collective word for the individuality and uniqueness that makes each human luminous in his own right.  Each of us want to be seen, we want others to experience us a certain way, we wear the clothes and dance to the music our parents are horrified by.  With each passing day we either tend to shock the kugels back to reality or join them for sundowners at La Med to distract them from real life even more.

Vuzelha is what you are, what you do when you act yourself.  ACT yourself.  Cause we all put up a show some or other time by going out on a limb and wearing that controversial and queerifying manskirt, by having sex in public places, by phoning 'that guy' and taking the risk of rejection ...

All this 'being someone', 'being in and hip' and 'being yourself' sometimes takes its toll - you often have to give up part of yourself to be able to be yourself ... and in the end it's all in vain - cause life is short, but wonderful ...
